Series XXI
The words „Gammel Kongevej” mean the old royal way. They consist of 14 letters similar to the Jesus Way which consists of 14 stops.
Series XXI was realised upon these number relations in connection with the idea of drawing emotions by extension of the surface of paper from drawing to drawing.
(The first paper – 35 x 15 cm, the fourteenth one – 100 x 80 cm, progression + 5 cm)
In fact 13 drawings are the introduction to 14 – the last one.
Gammel Kongevej is the name of the street in Copenhagen, in which I lived from 23.IV.81 to 30.IV.81. Seven days. During the next seven days the ideas of series XXI were established in Cracow. Fourteen days very interesting relation.

The fourteenth drawing (the full circle) was divided in 14 parts and each part is a kind of stigma.
STIGMA – an idea used in the Catholic church for wounds which are incidental or permanent, which appeared on a body very often in connection with recollection of Jesus pain.
– in contemporary medicine stigmas are trofic disorder of neurovegetative nature connected with hysterical state.
… the progression of insanity on semicircular, ful round madness.
